How long does it take for recovery?
After a nose job surgery, most patients are required to wear a splint for the following couple of weeks. Around this time, there can be minor swelling or bruising around at the side of the nose or around the eyes, which is quite normal and heals after a week or two.
The nose in its initial phases of the recovery can appear to be slightly swelled, but this will improve and the shape will take place by the end of 6 months. The bones and cartilages of the nose take some time to heal properly.
Around the recovery period, patients should make sure that they keep the splint or a nose guard at all times. Patients shouldn’t take part in strenuous activity till the tissues settled. This may take up to 3 to 6 weeks after the nose job surgery. The nose should be taken care of properly, uneven sleep positions affecting the nose should be avoided. It takes around 6 weeks for the surgery signs to vanish. And after that, you can get back into your regular activities.
